The Cyprus Friendship Programme and the Famagusta Cultural Association organized a Treasure Hunt in the walled city of Famagusta for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot students wishing to discover the medieval history of their country.
The game took place on the 8th of December 2019 from 10:00 to 12:00 and students from both sides of the divide met in Famagusta to explore the city. This educational activity was also an opportunity to break social barriers between the young teenagers and enable the powerful world of unity and progress.
This non-political initiative was largely supported by the UN and targeted the social betterment of Cyprus’s youth.
The walled town of Famagusta is a prominent medieval historical site with some special importance within the whole historical landscape of Cyprus.
