Despite the ongoing war, CFP received 22 applications for the U.S. Residency program. We will be bringing at least four bi-communal pairs to the U.S. in July and will be providing a Year 1 Camp for the remaining applicants at the Kormakitis Centre for Cooperation in Cyprus.
Located in the Maronite village of Kormakitis and funded by the EU, this facility provides opportunities for education, youth activities, conferences and meetings, as well as cultural activities. Its mission is to serve the reconciliation and coexistence of local communities in Cyprus and elsewhere. With meeting rooms, food service and athletic fields, this facility will accommodate up to 60 people. While experiencing their own workshops and program, the Middle East teens will share this facility with Cypriot Year 2 teens.
